Employment (Advice for Children and Young people)

You MUST be 13 years old to undertake any part-time work.

You are considered to be employed if you assist in any trade or occupation carried out for profit, whether or not the you are paid or receive a reward. This also applies if your Parent/Carer (s) is the employer.

Your employer must fill in a work permit, if you are employed part-time job and are of compulsory school age.
