New Statutory guidance on children who run away or go missing from home or care
New statutory guidance have been issued in relation to children who run away or go missing from home or care. The PSCB joint protocol safeguarding children and young people who go missing from home or care (Interagency Procedures Chapter CC) will be amended to reflect these changes.
Interim Pre-Birth Guidance
Our Interim Pre-Birth Guidance has been developed to tighten up on the timescales for referral on unborn babies and to ensure that time is given for adequate response. The guidance is in the process of being fully updated. Please ensure that staff are aware of the timescales for making a referral.

Welcome to the Peterborough Safeguarding Children Board (PSCB) website. The PSCB is a statutory board, which has been set up in accordance with the Children Act 1989 and Working Together to Safeguard Children 2013, and all agencies and organisations that work with children and young people are required to cooperate to keep children safe from harm.
The PSCB agrees how local services and professionals should work together to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
At the heart of establishing the PSCB website was the desire to provide useful information and a user friendly tool which will aid children, young people,
their families and professionals to ensure that safeguarding is everyone's business.
Peterborough SCB has published an up to date set of procedures to reflect Working Together to Safeguard Children 2013; these procedures are available from the 'inter-agency procedures' button on the left hand side of every page on this website.
If you require further information about PSCB, or would like to give us your views or feedback on this website, please contact us.
